I just wanted to alert you all to something shady going on right now. I have been tagged and messaged about this literally close to 100 times, so I thought I’d let those of you who didn’t know about this in on it so you and your friends/family don’t fall victim to this scam.
My progress picture that I posted several weeks back in my post “I Choose Happy, Healthy and Fit” was stolen by a company and is being used and advertised pretty heavily on Facebook right now. The company even went so far as to photoshop out the watermark I had put on the image.
I DO NOT endorse this product, I DID NOT use this product and I DO NOT recommend this product to anyone.
I did not give this company my consent to use my image.
If you see it floating around Facebook, please do me a favor and report it.
The website for the product is actually a sales landing page which is made to LOOK like a helpful, women’s health and fitness site. After clicking around on it for a bit, you will realize pretty quickly that its only reason for being is to sell this product.
They even use a video of Dr. Oz to promote the product. At the end of every show, Dr. Oz alerts the audience and his viewers that he does not endorse, nor sell any products. He also lets his viewers know that for a full list of approved sponsors to check out his website. Here is part of the warning on his website:
“If you receive an e-mail or any kind of direct marketing claiming to be from me selling a product with my name, my image or the show’s name, you need to know IT’S NOT ME! I consider anyone that uses my name or my picture to try to sell you a product or supplement reckless and dangerous. They are undermining my credibility with you and the trust you place in me. More importantly, it could be dangerous to your health. Please go to doctoroz.com/oz-watch to report if you receive any messages that use me to sell you anything. To see a list of our trusted partners, please go to Dr. Oz.com.”
The main reason I am making this post is because I don’t want any of you or your friends/family to fall victim to their false advertising. All too often people are tricked into purchasing products that are either useless or detrimental to their health. I wouldn’t know whether this product is either of those things, because I never used it! Heck, I’ve been involved in health and fitness for years now and I’ve never even heard of it!
This is not what I stand for… and this is not what I believe in. The way to get healthy and fit is not through some magical produce or diet pills. It’s not through short cuts. The way to being healthy and fit from the inside out, is through a healthy, balanced diet, consistent exercise and patience.
